Combining the most recent advances in cardiovascular medicine with attentive personal care and emphasis on noninvasive techniques - that is the unique approach of the physicians in the Lown Cardiovascular Center. 

Pioneering cardiovascular research by members of the Lown Center, extensive drug therapy research, and many subsequent years of developing cardiac management techniques have earned the Lown Cardiovascular Center a distinguished reputation for providing the very best cardiac care.

The Lown Cardiovascular Center evaluates and cares for patients with all types of cardiovascular conditions and diseases, from hypertension and high cholesterol to those with coronary valvular and congenital heart diseases.  The Center has achieved worldwide recognition in managing diverse disturbances of heart rhythm as well.  Many patients are referred to the Lown Center for second opinions as to the need for heart catheterization, angioplasty, or cardiac surgery.

Patients are seen five days a week in the Center's medical offices at 21 Longwood Avenue, Brookline, MA 02446.  Appointments must be scheduled in advance.  The practice provides onsite diagnostic testing for the convenience of patients, such as exercise tolerance tests, echocardiograms, stress echo tests, holter and event monitoring, and a full range of chemistry and blood testing in the in house laboratory.  Inpatient admissions are to the Brigham and Women's Hospital, which is located less than a mile away.
